Chefchaouen, the blue African pearl.
Hello everybody and welcome back to my blog!
After so long mentioning that I was in Morocco last April, I think it was about time I published one of the posts about that wonderful country.
I had always felt fascinated by Morocco - its culture, its architecture, the desert, the decoration, fabrics, jewellery and everything you can buy there, etc. and I couldn't wait to go. However, between one thing and the other, it was only this year when I finally managed to go.
Because of everything that had happened back home the previous year and a half, I decided that my mum needed a break from all the stress she had been through and I thought taking her with me would be one of the most perfect Christmas gifts I could ever give her. That's why, for Christmas, I gifted her - among other things - with an envelope containing a flight ticket and a reservation ticket to all the hotels where we were going to stay there.
The plan was simple: some days in Chefchaouen, known as "the blue pearl" because of its peculiar colour; one in Tetouan and two in Tangier. And that's what we did - only we just spent one day in Tangier due to time restrictions.
